Bunny Yoga Fundraiser for House Rabbit Network at Healthworks Cambridge

Domestic bunnies are social creatures, naturally curious, gentle and sensitive. Enjoy an all-levels yoga practice to Hip Hop music (get it?!), led by Cristen of Healthworks, while shelter bunnies from House Rabbit Network explore the room. Watch as the bunnies hop under your Down Dog, maybe nose-bump your toes in Butterfly, and when they’re tired of exploring, flop and relax on or near your mat. This is not your typical yoga class. Breaks for photos and bunny pets are allowed! Register EARLY as this class will sell out! Please note, children need to be accompanied by an adult. Information about what it entails to share your home with a house rabbit will be available. Although the bunnies are up for adoption, no placements will be done on the day of the event.  House Rabbit Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rabbit rescue and educational organization devoted to the welfare of our lagomorph (rabbit) friends. HRN is an all-volunteer operation and relies on donations, grants and the kindness of others. The shelter is in Billerica and is always looking for people who would like to work a weekly shift caring for and socializing with the bunnies, as well as foster homes. Thank you so very much to Healthworks Cambridge for their generosity! 100% of your donation will go to supporting the bunnies! Check out their website for more info: This event is close to Easter, which makes bunny time extra special. Some consider giving rabbits as Easter gifts. We support the campaign, Make Mine Chocolate! “Rabbits are a familiar symbol of the Easter holiday. It is no surprise that children beg their parents for a bunny of their own. Ill-prepared to care for these unique creatures, their "owners" often quickly tire of them, flooding local humane societies and rabbit rescues with former Easter rabbits or dumping them outside to die. The Make Mine Chocolate! campaign was created to educate the public on the realities of living with a rabbit, and to discourage giving live rabbits as Easter gifts.” Don't forget your yoga mat and water bottle!
