The artists in “A Decolonial Atlas: Strategies in Contemporary Art of the Americas” grapple with official and marginalized narratives around places and events. Whose voices are privileged in the stories of places, and how do these stories shape experiences? One artist in the exhibition, Pablo Helguera, uses collage as a complementary documentary narrative to his accounts of his journey through the Americas.

This workshop derives inspiration from Helguera’s interest in collage and seeks to explore how we come to know a place. Drop in and try your hand at collage-making to navigate your own experiences with official histories.

This event is co-sponsored by the Tufts Latino Center.

Cost: Free and open to the public.
