MAPLE Breakfast at MASS Spring Meeting 2019

Join us for the MAPLE Learning Circle breakfast before the MASS Spring Meeting, May 16, 2019, (7:15 am - 8:45 am) at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough, MA. This meeting is for Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Directors, Principals, and MAPLE Team Leaders. The key goal of this meeting is for everyone to share and get feedback on one of their Personalized Learning Initiatives that they are working on, and give feedback to colleagues. Everyone shares and learns! Choose one of your PL Initiatives to share: This is a list of the various PL Initiative topics found across our districts. You might not have called your initiatives, exactly by these terms, but you most likely have a few that fit into these topics. Choose from: Adaptive Learning & Progress Monitoring Personalized Teacher Professional Development Rolling Out 1:1 for Blended Learning Project Based Learning, Capstone Projects, and Deeper Learning Online Edtech Systems Management Learner Profiles and Digital Portfolios Competency Based Learning Profile of a Graduate Social Emotional Learning CS and STEM Internships Common Assessments (Formative, Diagnostic) Other____________________ As a district team, you can either all choose the same topic, or you can split up and each choose a different topic. Be ready to share your initiative (10 minutes/PL Initiative)  with a brief intro to your initiative about what you have designed: What is your PL Initiative? Why is this initiative important? What are key desired outcomes? This is what we are trying to achieve. What have been this year’s actionable steps? What edtech are you using? Focus on sharing metric exemplars that are meaningful to you for this initiative: What is happening in your schools and/or individual departments, this year, that shows that a particular metric is being successful? Bring examples of data that show progress towards achieving your goals. Describe what was a challenge, and ask for feedback!  For any questions, contact Ellie Miller at
